Disciplship Pastor
Pastor Hal Adams, our Discipleship Pastor, is originally from Portsmouth, Virginia. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Bluefield State University, a Master’s degree in Education from Tusculum University, and a Doctor of Theology (Th.D.) degree from Carolina University.
He and his wife, Lisa, moved to South Carolina in 2021. Pastor Hal and Lisa have two daughters and six grandchildren. Before entering full-time ministry, Pastor Hal served as a head football coach at two high schools in Virginia. In 1997, he answered God’s call to ministry and served as the Pastor of Compassion Church until 2021. Following that season of ministry, Pastor Hal served as an interim pastor and ministry consultant until February 2026, when he joined the Waterbrook leadership team.
Pastor Hal enjoys football, weight training, and spending quality time with his family. His passion is helping people grow in their relationship with Christ and equipping others to live out their faith through discipleship.
